The critical edition of the book named al-Matlub Sharh al-Maksud for Ibnu'l-Hâc Muhammed b. Hâc Ahmed el-Farazî

This thesis is an edition critique of his work named "Matlûb book", which is one of the commentaries of "Maksûd", which is one of the most important ancient works of the science of consumption. The belonging of the book to Ibnu'l-Haj as the author has been determined thanks to this study. The number of manuscript copies of the work in Turkish libraries is over 150. In addition, the amount of printed copies of the Ottoman period that can be determined is 9. These figures, which stand out during the work, are a proof of the interest of the work in the minds of madrasahs and professors. In this study, by reviewing over one hundred and fifty manuscripts, maximum effort has been made so that the work can reach the closest possible text from the author's pen. In order for the reader to easily understand the text, footnotes are given where necessary to clarify the subject. The selection of copies was made on the basis of the criteria specified in the ISAM Investigation Principles, and thanks to these eliminations, the study was reduced to three copies. The content of the work chosen for the study, its volumetric size, and the copying errors in the copies created serious difficulties during the study. Copying errors have been tried to be eliminated by making use of available resources. However, the content and size of the work led to a prolongation of the time allocated for the study. In the study, it was tried to give priority to the use of the basic sources specified in the ISAM editorial principles. On the other hand, the manuscript copies of the resources that cannot be printed in the libraries were used, and the library and other information were given in the bibliography.
