Abstract (EN)

İbnu'r-Rûmî who had lived during Abbasid period in the third hijri century, is one of the important Arabic poets. He had versed his couplest with which he offered the great examples of Arabic literature under deep imagination and inveresting thoughts. So he had been accepted as the best poet writings of his time after Buhturî. Especially, his verses in irony had provided him to be followed by literory environment in admiration althovyh he was competing with Buhturî, who was jeolous of him, Buhturî confessed his genius in irony. On the other hand the poet, who had lost his family members one by one and as a result of this lived a pessinist mood, had written epicedes, which would sonstitute the great examples of Arabic Literature, on his dead family members. Even though there are a set of studies on his poems, there isn't o sueficient study on the content. This study, which we began with this deficiency, consists of three parts. İn the first part, the poetis life and litevory personality have becen handled. İn the gecond part, his intellectual, spiritual and cultural structure / nature have been handled and the effects of there foftors on his poems have been studied in detail. And in the last part, the content of his poems has been handled.
