The life of İbrahim Khalil Afandi and his theological opinions

Ibrahim Khalil Afandi lived in the era when there were serious political issues. He lived in the time of big two World Wars. He joined the Turkish National Forces during the First World War and had played an important role on; joining of Hatay to Turkey, campaining against to French for independence of Syria and strengthening religion of Islam in this area. He faced many struggles during the mentioned campaigns so he was keeped away from education and writing books. When he was in Syria, continously he campaigned against to French and their supporters. On the other hand he spent rest of his life in prison or mandatory settlement in Turkey.In spite of these hardness problems, he did not give up writing books. I determined nine books of him when I was researching his life. These books generally about Sufism but there are also Teology of Islam was talked a lot in his books; so this shows his opinions about theology of Islam clearly.Due to his Sufi spiritual identy he defined the knowledge which gained from spiritual path is basis of all sciences. Because of his this approach we can regard him as Ishraqi and we see this Ishraqi thought in his all opinios but his main doctrine is the line of Maturidi and Ashr?arî.All of his opinions are shaped with a verse that ?I created the jinn and humankind only that they might worship Me.? His approach of all matter of faith is ?Everything is created to show their owner is Allah.? Plus, destiny also exists to inform that ownership of Allah.It can be seen easy to introduce life of Ibrahim Khalil Afandi because he lived in recent years, but it was not easy to find information about him. In spite of several researches done by western historians, it is very interesting that he is not well known in Turkey. Therefore, our research about his life is making our thesis more valuable and significant.
