Abstract (EN)
Airports are the places that all of the flights begin and finish, in this view airports have an important role for the air transportation system. If the total cost factors for construction and operating of airports are considered, a realistic forecast for the number, type and operational specifications of air traffic demands is required. In this study, capacity of runway as a part of airside of an aerodromes will be considered and an analytical model will be developed in order to calculate airside theoretical capacities of an aerodrome. The studies for runway capacities are based on observations. In this study, occupation times are calculated according to flight mechanics principles and the separation minimums between the aircrafts stated on International Civil Aviation Organization documents.
