Abstract (EN)

Within the scope of this Master's thesis, grapheneoxide (GO) based hybrid microcapsules were synthesized using sporopollenin exine capsules (SEC) isolated from Juglans pollen as a biological template. Materia lsurfaces were functionalized via APTES silanization for supercapacitor applications and Polydopamine (PDA) coating for drug delivery systems. The filtered graded centrifugation technique, applied following ultrasonic homogenization for the purification of the synthesized GO, is presented as a novelty in the literature, and a few-layered graphene structure was successfully obtained through this method. Electrochemical tests conducted in a 6 M KOH electrolyte environmen trevealed that the hybrid electrodes reached a specific capacitance valueof 444 F/g and exhibited a high capacity retention of at least 80% after 10,000 charge-discharge cycles. The obtained data proved that, in addition to being a high-performance supercapacitor electrode, the synthesized structure offers an origina lalternative to the literature as a controlled drug delivery system, owing to its biocompatible hollow cavity.
