Abandonment implementation used as a method to acquire property by the administration

There are different property acquiring methods within the scope of the public power and privileges that the Administration benefits for meeting with the need for immovable in order to perform public services. Differently from the ex officio property acquisition methods performed by the Administration, with abandonment implementation Administration resorts to reach an agreement with the property owner, and therefore property owner waives without receiving any remuneration. Within the scope of the study, the aim is to present the legal characteristic of and the legal regime to be applied for the abandonment implementation which we approached as a new property acquiring method arising as such, and to approach it in terms of its results. Judicial decisions, doctrine and legislations are used in order to present data related to the subject.
