Determination of insects pests on stone and pome fruit trees in Igdir and Kars (Kagizman) provinces

Abstract (EN)

Studies were carried out to determine of stone and pome fruit trees pests species in Iğdır and Kars (Kağızman) provinces during the seasons of spring, summer and autumn of 2013 - 2016. The result of this study, 26 pests species of 16 families belonging to 4 orders of Insecta are recorded. At these; Hyalopterus pruni (Geoffroy, 1762), Sphaerolecanium prunastri (Boyer de Fonscolombe, 1834), Stictocephala bisonia Kopp & Yonke, 1977, Apodiphus amygdali (Germar, 1817), Stephanitis pyri (Fabricius, 1775), Cydia pomonella (Linnaeus, 1758), Grapholita janthinana (Duponchel, 1843) and Ceratitis capitata (Wiedemann, 1824) has been found the most important harmful species. Using the sexually attractive pheromone traps of Cydia pomonella (Linnaeus, 1758), which is economically important and the main pest species in this area, the first adult emergence time, population changes and active periods in the nature have been determined. In addition, distributional data of the species in Turkey and on the world, the number of species collection locality information and host data for each of the species investigated were given.
