Abstract (EN)

Mânis constitutes an important pillar of anonymous folk poetry. Turkish customs, Turkic speaking and cultural treasure are reserved in our mânis. This product, which the people embraced their feelings, their beliefs, their pain, their pleasure, maintained their existence for centuries. Having a temparate climatic characteristic and being called Çukurova of east by nature beauty, Iğdır has a very rich past in terms of our national culture. We have started this study to contribute to the world of science by carrying out both research and writing studies on Iğdır mânis which have not been subjected to much research. This work we have done is limited to those collected in Igdir and consists of three main parts. In the first part of our work, the concept of mâni in Turkish folk literature was given, the historical process of the mâni were examined, the classification of the researchers on the mânis was given and the relation of the Iğdır mânis with other anonymous folk literature types was examined. In the second part, the tradition of saying mâni in Iğdır was evaluated and the compiled Iğdır mâni were classified in three main sections. In the third part, Iğdır mânis were examined as content and folk science elements were identified. As a result; the compiled sentences were arranged in alphabetical order according to the third lines and tried to be understood by making a dictionary from the archaic words in the bodies. In the last part, the welding recorder is divided into two parts as written and oral sources. Keywords: Iğdır, Anonymous folk poetry, Mani, Categorization.
