İhsan Özer's understanding of music and his contributions to Turkish music

This study focuses on the life story and artist identity of İhsan Özer, one of the names of the Classical Turkish music community. In this context, it is aimed to illuminate the place of the works of the artist in Classical Turkish music. In line with this purpose, the elements around which Özer's aesthetic world is shaped are analyzed. The theoretical framework of the study is discussed on the axis of the main sources of Classical Turkish music. Primary sources were accessed for Özer's life, art and his relationship with Classical Turkish music. The data obtained at this point was provided by İhsan Bey's personality, family members and artistic circle rather than written sources. The data that Özer contributed to the enrichment of the world of Classical Turkish music with his unique performance was provided primarily as a result of interviews with Mr. İhsan. Therefore, it has been revealed that such an examination will open up a new field of interpretation in terms of artistic aspects.
