Comparison of the fikh of worship named in the work called İhyâü Ulûmi'dîn with the opinions preferred in the Shafii sect

It is an undeniable fact that Imam Gazzali was competent in Islamic sciences. He also has a well-deserved reputation in the Shafii sect to which he belongs. Imam Nawavi, who lived about a century after him and was a true scholar and a scholar at the level of a mujtahid, also had a famous place within the Shafi'i sect to which he belonged. The subject of our study is the comparison of Imam Gazzali's work called fhyå and Imam Nevevi's work called Minhac in the context of worship. Here, the aim will be to determine to what extent Imam Gazzali agrees with the generally accepted views of the sect he belongs to and what aspects and issues he thinks differently from this sect. Firstly, issues related to cleanliness were discussed. Then, issues related to prayer, alms, fasting and pilgrimage are discussed in a comparative manner. Controversial issues have been identified, with differences noted here and there. In the last part, the main controversies are presented briefly and a conclusion is reached.
