Abstract (EN)

"Ottoman Institutions, Daily Life And Public Images In Second Constitutional Era Caricatures" titled study examines the influence of the perception of the 2nd Constitutional Era social and economical life on caricatures. In this study both historical and literal progress of humor culture particularly the caricature art referred in the world and Ottoman social life. 2nd Constitutional Era induced drastic social and economical changes of Ottoman social life analyzed in detail, era's press frame referred and within this context, caricatures published on 2nd Constitutional Era Kalem, Cem & Karagöz serials were scanned. Arising of 2nd Constitutional Era's complex economical and political life in caricatures are introduced. Era's unsettled frame, both international and internal affairs are criticized by means of caricature. Available visual materials are presented with translations if applicable.
