Abstract (EN)

Although The Ottoman Empire ruled approximately six centuries in a vast region, yet it has included various nations with a tolerance policy which current great states can not implement. If we look at the ruling policy of the empire, we can see that no strict administrative policies have been carried out in the conquered areas, on the contrary existing administrative styles have been mainly maintained with small alterations. Every study dealing with the provincial administration of the empire remove an unknown and make it easier to understand the administrative style. Therefore, the Bayezid Sanjak which had tribal regiments and Armenian problems during Second Constitutional Monarchy era is discussed widely and analysed in terms of social, political, economical, educational and demographical aspects. The study includes four parts. In the first part, the main points of the Second Constitutional Monarchy period are mentioned. In the second part, after mentioning the history of the Bayezid Sanjak, executive changes, border disputes between Ottoman Empire and Iran, socio-economical situaiton, the demography of the sanjak and educational subjects are emphasized. In the third part, after citing general information about Armenians who lived in a great harmony with the muslim community, the movements of some Armenians under influence of foreign powers, which were threatening the peace and order in the Ottoman Empire are stressed. In the fourth part, Second Abdülhamits tribal regiment project which maintained its structure even after the Constitutional Monarchy period with some changes and its effects on Bayezid Sanjak are discussed.
