Literature and culturel activities at İkdam (1925-1926)

The years of İkdâm newspaper, wihc started is publiccation life on July, 5 1894, during the 2. Abdülhamid period, are 1925-1925. İn his life, with his long term existence and the writtings he included in his columns, he gained a very important place in the Republican period The examination of İkdâm newspaper, which continues its publication life in accordance with the principles of the Turkish psociety, whic was reshaped in the line of Turkism, was carried out in three parts. İn the first parts, the modernization process, which was an important element in Turkish social life until the Republican period, was mentional in general terms and the effect of this modernization trend on the press and broadcasting life in the first years of the Republic. In the first part, which constitutes thefirst part of the our thesis. İkdâm newspaper has been examined in two parts: form and content. In the section where the shape features of the newspaper are examined, the introduction of İkdâm in the shape features of the newspaper, in the puplication process, identity information, layout, tecnical features are emphasized. In the second part, an avolution of the content characteristics of İkdâm in the years 1925-1926 was made. In the second part, it forms the analytical index of İkdâm. In this section, all the articles are cronologically classified. In the analyzed index, the another's name, surname, the name of article, the number of periodical, the Hijri, Rumi, Gregorian calender, page number, type of the article and visualmaterial information are included. In the third part, the articles about literary, artistic social, political, cultural and educational life in İkdâm newspaper were created under the title of "Selected Texts". The study was concluded with the conclusion part.
