Abstract (EN)

The parameter variation effect to the mass resolution was considered for the double field time of flight mass spectrometer within de Heer and Milani approach. The results indicate that the acceleration zone and region 1 zone enlargements improvise the resolution. The mass resolution decreases due to the enlargement of the drift zone. For the ionization region ( ? x), the small region provides better resolution and the mass resolution drops with the enlargement. The variation of the electric field in magnitude needs to be taken into account since the energetic particles can result in the better signal to noise ratio.
