Abstract (EN)
This thesis consists of five chapters.In Chapter 1, the history of the Burgers' equation is presented.In Chapter 2, some fundamental definitions related to the subject are given.In Chapter 3, Variational Iteration Method is presented and the method is applied to various problems.The 4th Chapter is the original part of the thesis. In this chapter, Variational Iteration Method is applied to one and two dimensional Burgers' equation.Chapter 5 is devoted to numerical results of the fourth chapter. The obtained numerical solutions for various values of viscosity at various time steps are compared with the exact solutions by presenting tables and graphs.
