Abstract (EN)

It is shown that in prenatal diagnostic methods, more accurate values were obtained when the evaluation was done according to regional differences. It is known that the Median and MoM values differ according to the populations.Between the years 2008-2010, free ß-h CG, PAPP-A MoM values of 636 11-13-week-pregnant serums which were sent from Maternity Service and from Local Hospitals to Afyon Kocatepe University School of Medicine Biochemistry Lab Endocrinology Service and NT MoM values which were measured by the specialists of Afyon Kocatepe University Maternity Service are determined. NT, free ß-hCG and PAPP-A MoM values of all pregnant women included in the study are measured in 11-13th week of pregnancy. These values are compared statistically with MoM values of SBP-SOFT program. Newly-created NT MoM values according to our results in weeks were found statistically significant (p <0.05). When the newly-created ß-hCG and PAPP-A MoM values and MoM values created by SBP-SOFT program were compared, statistically significant differences were found in PAPP-A values in 11th and 13th weeks. (p<0,05).Different techniques and methods of measurements naturally differentiate the median values of evaluated populations. The application differences of the laboratories using the same kit even change the median value. Because of all these features, it is important for each lab to create their own median values of the populationKey words : ß-hCG, PAPP-A, NT
