A sample for local press in Turkey in the Second World War Period: Yurd Yolu, a Newspaper published in Bitlis (1938-1944)

This study examines Yurd Yolu newspaper which started to be published in Bitlis in 1938. It countinued its publication between 1938 and 1944. In this newpaper the news which reflected social, political and economic life of Bitlis became the topic for this study. The information about the history of Turkish press was given and the activities were examined. Foundation of the newspaper, its broadcast and broadcasting policy were also included. Besides, all the news between 1938-1944 were annexed as headlines. By the period, it was informed about the second world war, publis's city life, the sense and the attitude which the war caused.
