Abstract (EN)
The research examines the relationship between climate change denial ve pro-environmental behaviors ve social dominance orientation. "Climate Change Denial Scale", "Environmental Practices Scale" ve "New Social Dominance Orientation Scale" were used as data collection tools in the research. In the study, 641 volunteers between the ages of 18-65 were studied. Data were analyzed using the IBM SPSS Statistics 26 program. According to the research findings, it was concluded that as social dominance orientation increases, denial of climate change increases. It was observed that the level of pro-environmental behavior decreased as the denial of climate change increased. It was observed that as the social dominance orientation increased, the level of pro-environmental behavior decreased. When examined in terms of demographic variables, it was seen that there were significant differences in climate change denial in terms of gender, age, education level, socioeconomic status ve the place where most of the life was spent. It was concluded that climate change denial is higher in men than in women. In terms of educational status, high school graduates deny climate change more than those with university ve graduate degrees. It is seen that the middle-aged group is less in denial of climate change than the young ve old. People with low socioeconomic status are more likely to deny climate change than people with medium socioeconomic status. It has been concluded that people who spend most of their life in the province are less in denial of climate change.
