The use of symbols in the reinstallment of power

This paper aims to explain/show the use of symbols in there installment of power. In its first two main sections, the conceptual meanings and the framework used is being presented. The study is analyzing postmodern power relations and the problematization of hegemonial relations in societies through the use symbols. The different interpretation of symbols by different points of view and personal values block the existence of a fully democratic environment. Thus, the meanings given to symbols through exposure to existing TV serials that impose two distinctly different ideologies, produce much different results and power relations.
