Evaluation of attitudes of people living in districts towards substance addiction: The case of Bursa Osmangazi district

The study was carried out using the screening research model. The study group consists of individuals over the age of 18 residing in Osmangazi District of Bursa Province. The research sample was determined as 380 individuals using the easy sampling technique method. In the study, the "Social Perspective Scale on Substance Abuse", which was previously developed and proven to be valid, was used together with the personal information questionnaire. In order to test the structural correctness of the scale, confirmatory factor analysis was applied. The analysis of the obtained data was taken into account through the SPSS 21 program and the results were evaluated at a 95% confidence level. The analyzes carried out and the data obtained point to the relationship between drug addiction and the interconn decency of society and social dynamics. Therefore, the reduction of drug addiction and the demand for drugs will be achieved by a coordinated approach and commitment of the people and institutions living in the districts to each other in the community-oriented struggle.
