Abstract (EN)

It can be said that the discussions of will and freedom in Kalam include several basic issues. Sometimes a direct or sometimes indirect relationship can be observed between these issues. These issues are the problem of destiny, good-will and evil. Generally, approaches to man's compulsion or choice are examined under the title of accident and fate. However, in the context of God's attribute of will, the issue is sometimes brought up in the context of divine attributes, as the position of the servant's will vis-à-vis the divine will is discussed. We divided our thesis into three parts and tried to identify the main reasons that played an active role in the emergence of algebraic thought in the first part. In the same section, along with these determined reasons, the basic claims of Jabriyyah regarding human freedom are also included. Umar Abd al-Aziz and Hasan Ibn Mohamad's ideas was discussed. These ideas which we will consider as cabr/non freedom in the second and third chapters. The discussion styles and evidence of Umar and Hanafiyya's treatises written on the relevant subject were evaluated and an attempt was made to reach a conclusion. Both Umar Abd al-Aziz and Hasan Ibn Mohamad are considered to be a gracious person, sometimes a different category is used regarding his generosity,. There were those who evaluated Umar Abd al-Aziz as a moderate jabri. However, when the whole treatise is taken into consideration, it will be determined that he is also a strict Jabriyya supporter. Also Hasan and Umar used two different methods while defending these coercive ideas. However, both of them did not refrain from frequently citing the verses as evidence. Keywords: Kalam, Jabriyya, Will, Umar Abd al-Aziz, Hasan Ibn Mohamad
