Abstract (EN)

In this work, the applicability of the current mathematics program applied first in2005-2006 educational year as well as its aim, content, and level of education wereevaluated. Study has been done in primary schools located at Afyonkarahisar?s provincecenter, on teachers employing in 5th classes of these schools, headmasters, and inspectors,using a likert-type (from 1 to 5) questionnaire. The participants first attended to thisresearch reported that they have generally a positive point of view about the program butthey have still some problems. Nevertheless, all reported average scores were up to ≥3.According to the results, it has been shown that there is no meaningful relationshipbetween the sex and occupation regarding to the average score. There are meaningfuldifferences between the seniority years. These years are 6-10 years, and 16-20 and up to 21years. The most positive opinion about the program was seen in participants who have 16-20 seniority years. Significant difference between low and high educational level wasobserved, and the participants who have a low educational level reported their positiveopinion while it is found that the participants who have a high educational level have alower score in average.Keywords: Mathematics, Mathematics program, Mathematics education
