Teaching and comprehending of the grammar concepts in the elementary school 6th class Turkish lessons

Abstract (EN)

This researchs general aim is to find answer to the questions ?which comprehensionlevel do the 6th class students have for the grammar concepts and do the 6th classstudents learn the grammar concepts in the Turkish Lessons satisfactorily.This research has a causal comparative method. This research is done in a oneprivate school and nine state schools in several districts of Ankara province. And 217students participated into the research. In this research, a test which includes 30questions prepared by a researcher and approved by expert opinions is used as datacollection tool.According to the results of the data collection tool, it has been found that most of thestudents have low comprehension levels for the 6th class grammar concepts. After theprivate school and state schools were compared in concepts of comprehension levels ofthe concepts, it has been found that private school is more successful than the stateschools.Key Words: Concept, Grammar Concepts, Teaching of the Grammar Concepts.
