The teacher opinions for the fourth grade science & technology textbooks in primary schools

The aim of this study is to examine and evaluate the fourth grade Science&Technology textbook based on the parametres of ?the last graduated school? , ?the duration of service? and ?the choise of textbook? according to the teacher.This study was implemented in 2008-2009 academic year by the contribution of 283 teachers from 37 schools which were in the center of Afyonkarahisar. As an evaluation form, a survey with fire sections was applied. There are fifty questions in total; there are questions to learn teachers? personal informations in the first section; sientific content in the second section; techniques and methods used in the third section; readability in the forth section and questions aiming to establish views of the teachers about activities in the last section.For the data derived from this survey one-way variance analysis and descriptive statistics were utilized. According to the findings some results were reached. According to the findings, some results were reached. Some meaningful differences were identified in the section of science contect, techniques and methods used, readability and activities based on the parameter of the last graduated school. It was identified that the teachers shared the same views the section of scientific contect, the techniques and methods used, readability and activities based on the parametres of ?duration of service? and ?choise of book?.
