Analyse the effects of interdisciplinary teaching approach on the students? learning outcome.

The purpose of this research is to analyse the effects of interdisciplinary teaching approach on the students? learning outcome. It is surveyed through literature scanning taking the educational levels, content and assessment of approach education program as basis. The process of application of this approach is carried out by using the pretest - posttest control groups as experimental models.The research consists of 84 students attending a private primary school located in Muratpaşa district in Antalya in 2009-2010. The students represent a group involved in high socio-economic level. In the research Academic Achivement Test (AAT) and Science Attitude Scale are used.AAt is developed to assess the achievement of students in ?Systems in Body? chapter. It covers the subtitle ?Digestion System? of the chapter in question. The scope validity of the prepared test was provided by taking the chapter acquisition into consideration.In this study Science Attitude Scale is used to measure the conception of students regarding Science and Technology subject. The scale consists of 16 items and was applied to 128 students in terms of scale reliability and factor analysis. The reliability coefficient is obtained as 0.83.Key words: The thematic interdisciplinary teaching, Curriculum of Science andTechnology Course
