The inspection of the effects of the worksheets to the students? academic in science and tecnology at the second degree

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of improving effective worksheetsand using worksheets in educational media in teaching the subject ` the structure andthe features of material? which involves in primary school 7th grade Science andTechnology discipline, on the instruction and the achievement of students . The pretestand posttest experimental design was used in the study. The participants of the studyconsists of 58 students (28 of which experimental, 30 of which control) thought inYaylak Primary School 7th Grade in Bozova-Şanlıurfa in 2010-11 Academic year. Fortwo weeks(8 discipline hours ) , the control group was instructed with 5E model ofConstructivist Approach whereas the experimental group was instructed withworksheets in addition to 5E model. The achievement test and semi-structured interviewform were used as data collector devices .The achievement test was carried out aspretest before the study and posttest after the study to both groups. And also semistructuredinterview was carried out with 6 students selected from experimental group .For analysing the acquired quantitive datas t - test was used. The analysis of thequantitive datas showed that the instruction enriched with worksheets in addition toconstructivist approach increased student achievement in proportion to the insructionjust whit carrying out the studies given in programme. Also,in the analysis ofqualitative datas? results, it was determined that worksheets are efficient in concievingthe error in concepts (91 pages, 2011).Key Words: Constructivist approach, science teaching, worksheets
