Abstract (EN)
Education has an important place in the development of a country. In particular, primary education is the first institution where child development and learning action take place. This experience is the beginning of an important process for the development of social and emotional intelligence of the child as an individual. Beyond being an educational place for students in primary schools that meet at an early age, it is the beginning of a new and inexperienced important process in terms of the child's social development. With the advent of the Covid-19 pandemic, it has had an unprecedented impact on children. In this process, face-to-face education was Decoupled and the distance education system was switched on. Since not every student can have technological opportunities, economic conditions have brought serious problems with access to education, and inequality of opportunity in education has deepened. Many epidemics have occurred from the past to the present and, as a result, have forced many spatial and architectural changes. With the information we have obtained from the pandemic, it has been aimed to carry out a design study on the flexible use of classrooms against post-pandemic as a result of spatial analyses in existing primary school structures. In line with this goal, attention was drawn to the spatial effects of the pandemic and the Covid-19 pandemic, and the difficulties encountered in existing school structures were investigated. Then, various spatial design studies conducted in our country and abroad during the pandemic period were included. In this direction, in the study, the design criteria that reveal the spatial change in primary school structures after the Covid-19 pandemic have been put forward, and the solutions to the pandemic problem in terms of spatial and architectural design have been developed by introducing suggestions. For this purpose, it is aimed to contribute to the literature. It is aimed that schools can continue education without interruption by ensuring healthy, safe, functional and flexible use of classrooms during the pandemic and post-pandemic periods.
