Abstract (EN)

Education is main power which improves the human with every aspect and brings him/her the most powerful being in the world. People are born with a uniqe talent. But, it seems unlikely that a person not trained develop and use these skills. In this context, it seems that after a spesific process of education the man has developed rapidly himself/herself and to have ready to use his capabilities.Although in the education of the human there are many factors are effective such as family, environment, no doubt the most effective one is school. The share of primary schools in the schools is so great. Education provided in primary schools to be planned and programmed by experts plays an importatant role to give the training more effective. Schoool administrators have a great task to maintain the effectiveness of the schools. Primary school managers in carrying out their duties experience job stress as in all other institutions.The purpose of the studying is to determine primary education institutions managers? perceptions about their job stres. This research was conducted in Antalya Province. The research is a qualitative study with a multiple holistic case study design. Data collection method is individual interviews and focus interviews based on the semi-structured with open-ended questions. In addition, obsevation forms and documents are other data collection tools. There are 599 public primary schools in the province of Antalya. 13 mamagers (5 head managers and 8 assistant managers) consist of the sample of the research.In this study, data were analyzed via content analysis, document analysis and analysis of observation forms. Data encoded using Nvivo the software program to analyze them and relationships between these codes (themes) were detemined.As a result, it has been identified managers had job stress due to their tasks. Job stress was experienced due to wide variety of sources and was importatnt to consider these resurces to cope with stress.
