Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to determine the teachers? opinions on managerial skills and effecting skills of primary education principals on teachers. In accordance with this purpose, teachers? views on managerial skills and efecting skills of principals are identified and whether their personal traits have an effect on their views are investigated together with the relationship between the teachers? view on managerial skills and effecting skills of administrators.Population of the research conducted with screening model consists of primary education school teachers workin in the city center of Karabük in 2010-2011 school years.Within the scope of this research population, 267 classes and 244 branch teachers in 31 primary schools have been in contact. The data is collected by administrating personal information form, Managerial Skills and Principals? Effect Upon Teacher Scales. Data of the research is solved in SPSS program and frequency, perrentage, t-test, one way analysis of variane and correlation analysis have been carried out.According to the results of the research, while teachers? total perception on the managerial skills of administratos is ? I agree?, their total perception on the effecting skills is ?most of the time?. It is seen that teachers? points on the managerial skills of administrators are higher than their points on administrators? effecting skills. According to the teachers? views, while the low level of ?responsibility skills? are the ones percepted highly in managerial skills, the low level of ?power of personality? is the one percepted highly in effecting skills. However, it is found out that managerial skills and effecting skills are realized mostly in general.There is no any significant differences between the perception of primary education school teachers on the level of principals? realizing managerial skills and the variables of their gender, branch, educational background. In addition to this, there is a significant difference between the perception of them on the level of principals? realizing managerial skills and the variable of their status.There is no any significant differences between the perception of primary education school teachers on the level of principals? realizing effecting skills and the the variables of gender, branch, status and educational background.Besides, it is ascertained that there are meaningful relationships which are in a positive way between the teachers? opinions on managerial skills and effecting skills. It is a thought this study will contrıbute to the field as it is a relational study focusing on the relationship between the managerial skills and effecting skills of primary school administrators.Key Words: teacher, administrator, managerial skills, effecting skills.
