The problems which are faced by primary school principals while administering education programmes. (Aydın province example)

The main purpose of this research is about what kind of problems school managers-who are responsible in managament of education programmes- come face to face, where the sources of these problems come from to detect the negative effects of these problems education-teaching activities and find proposals to solve these problems because the Primary schools have important roles in Turkish Education system. Also, the other aim of this research is to help new teachers in administration by showing the sources of problems so they will be ready to start administration.Research range of this study is composed from teachers and administrators who works in Aydin Central Districs primary schools in Autumn Education term of 2008-2009. The universe of the study population contains 1677 administrators and teachers. Sampling of the study in composed by 618 teachers and school administrators.In the scope of the research, for getting quantitive data it has been used ?the scale of problems faced in administer of education programes? which was improved by researcher with the help of Mehmet Şişman?s survey called ?Behaviour of Educational Leadership of Principals.? For getting quantitative data it has been used ?Interview form about problems?.During the process of analyzing the data obtained in the study, frequency, percent, arithmetic average, t-test, standart deviation, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and multiple comparison tests (Tukey HSD) had been used. Significance level in statistical analyses carried out was accepted (p<.05). Obtained data are explained with tables, figures and graphics.In the research, it has been detected that primary school administratiors have some problems both administratiors ideas while administering education programmes and teachers ideas. Also, problems are about leastly and mostly administrators themselves and leastly and mostly administrators of the teachers. In addition to this, according to the scale (target, content, situation of education and evaluation). ?Evaluation? is the least important problem but ?Content? has vital importance for administrators in their own ideas. According to the teachers ideas, administrators have very little problems in ?Content? dimension but administrators come face to face problems mostly in ?Target? dimension. Also problems which primary school administators faced has showed big differnce in terms of the sex and duty.
