Abstract (EN)

Turkish textbooks are among the basic elements of teaching Turkish. The prepared books must successfully reflect the vocabulary of Turkish, text types, sound and audio narration dimensions, visual and textual content, and be at a level that will contribute to the development of students' Turkish.This research was prepared to examine the suitability of the listening texts in the Turkish course books taught in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades of primary school to the Turkish Course Curriculum of the Ministry of National Education based on the opinions of classroom teachers. In the research, the components of the listening texts such as vocabulary, age suitability, text types, audio narration, visuals, content and infrastructure were examined; the adequacy of the texts was tried to be revealed in line with the teachers' evaluations on these issues. The findings obtained emphasized that the listening texts were generally compatible with the program but needed to be improved in some aspects. The research was conducted with 35 classroom teachers working in Tatvan district of Bitlis province in the 2024–2025 academic year. The case study method was adopted from qualitative research designs; the semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher was used as the data collection tool. The obtained data were analyzed with the descriptive analysis method.
