Investigation of social skills of primary school first class students

Whether social skills of first grade primary school students differ according to some variables and to determine social skills shortage causes according to their parents' opinions is the objective of this research. This research is important in terms of finding solutions and social skills and inability to determine which variables affect the result. The scope of the study in 2014-2015 academic year, depending on the Ministry of Education in Gumushane province 's 13 school studying 527 branches in 31 first grade primary school students. Social skills assessment and a personal information form are used at research as data collection tool (2005) developed by Akçamete and Avcıoğlu the reliability and validity of the scale of Turkey. In addition, social skills shortage caused by the referring teacher and expert opinion to determine interview questions based on parents' opinions were formed. 0.05 significance level was based on the interpretation of research findings . Analyses were performed using SPSS software . Interview questions were recorded on the voice recorder First grade primary school students surveyed by the research results have shown high levels of social skills. There is a statistically significant difference at social skills level of students compared to receive preschool education (p < 0.05), parent education level, economic status and perceived family attitude, The number of siblings , class size , living situation mother , father, life , sex , and the parent union status was not statistically significant (p > 0.05). Teachers and parents' opinions were examined to make a detailed research. Obedience to , incompatibility with friends , aggression, withdrawal, shyness , stealing, selfishness, fear and jealousy have been identified as problematic behavior in children.
