Abstract (EN)

This research was conducted to determine the level of exposure to peer bullying at primary school level and to examine the details of the level of exposure to bullying in terms of gender, grade level, television watching time, tablet and mobile phone usage time. Descriptive scanning method was used in the research. The research study included 282 primary school students studying in a province in the Aegean Region in the 2022-2023 academic year. As data collection tools, the personal information formula developed by the researchers and the scale named "Violence/Bullying in Schools" by Çınkır and Karaman-Kepenekçi (2003) were used. The findings showed that they were exposed to bullying at a level of 41% in their growth rate, and the most common bully behavior they encountered was verbal bullying. According to the procedures achieved, physical bullying includes pushing, pulling hair and ears; advertising verbal bullying and taunting; Emotional bullying, on the other hand, leaving the group and being humiliated were found to be more common behaviors among peers. There is a male distribution across all types of bullying, with female enrollment continuing to be more exposed to peer bullying in the 4th grade than other grade levels. While no significant relationship was detected between television viewing time and bullying types, high positive relationships were found between mobile phone-tablet pause time and bullying types.
