Abstract (EN)

The purpose of the investigation is to determine the level of pronounce situation words regarding phonetics vowel-consonant harmony of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade primary school students. The scope of the investigation is 2nd, 3rd, 4th graders who were studying in primary schools in Alanya district of Antalya during 2013-2014 academic year. The sample of the research includes 72 2nd, 3rd, 4th graders who were studying in 4 primary schools in Konaklı county. The gathered data has been examined and evaluated in terms of grade level, gender, preschool background, accommodation area, parents education level and Turkish lesson academic achievement. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade primary school students' pronunciation situation were gathered by "Narrative Text" which was developed and used by the researcher. Additionally, in order to determine participants' levels of pronunciation problems use in reading, namely, "Oral Reading Record Table", a text was developed and used by the researcher. In order to gather demographic information about the participants a "Personal Information Form" was also used. In this study, the survey model, descriptive method is used. Chi-square, Mann Whitney U tests are used for data analysis. And data has been interpreted in 0.05 level. The findings of the research revealed that, a rate on 2nd and 3rd and 4th grade students' pronunciation problems related words about vowel-consonant harmony was high. Additionally, there were slightly significant difference in terms of grade level, accommodation area and educational background of the parents.
