Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to evaluate the primary school dimension of the 'Classroom Guidance Programme' published by the Ministry of National Education in 2020 within the framework of an eclectic model, in which Eisner's Educational Critical Appraisal Model and Stake's Suitability-Probability Model are considered together, and to present a sample primary school guidance programme design at the end of the study. The study used a nested single case design, one of the qualitative research method designs. During the data collection process, which took place in the spring semester of the 2021-2022 academic year, a total of 32 hours of observations were made in one primary school over a period of two months. Observations were recorded using video, observation forms and field notes. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with classroom teachers in the classrooms where the observations took place, and focus group interviews were conducted with volunteer students and parents. The evaluation rubric for the guidance programme was used to obtain the opinions of 10 experts with at least a Master's degree in the field of EPÖ and PDR. The data analysis process was carried out through content analysis and descriptive analysis; NVivo9 qualitative data analysis software was used for video analysis. As a result of the research data, it was observed that the programme was generally implemented correctly and appropriately by the classroom teachers, the pupils enjoyed the process, the social-emotional development aspect of the programme was quite strong and the outcomes were prepared in accordance with the age and level of the pupils. It was concluded that the limited parental involvement, the lack of counselling hours to implement the programme and the lack of a programme development model were among the weaknesses of the programme. In line with the findings of the research, a model curriculum for a primary school classroom guidance programme was prepared.
