Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to determine how effective is economic, socio-psychological and organizational factors which impress motivation of staff members who work in the organizations in Giresun City. Two manufacturing organizations and one service organization which is located in Giresun City was included to the study. The number of the staff members was determined as 50 person from manufacturing organization and 50 person from service organization and totally 100 person. In the investigation, a questionnaire study regarding to factors affecting the motivation was implemented to the participants and the obtained data from the questionnaire were analyzed through SPSS software. Moreover, some open ended questions was also posed to the participants. This study consist three section. In the first section, information about definition of motivation, process of motivation, theories of motivation and economic, socio- psychological and organizational factors affecting motivation of the staff members was given. In the second section, importance of manufacturing and service organization for our country and the results of the former investigations on these sectors take place. In the third section, analysis of the results regarding to the investigation and the suggestions take place. According to mutual analyses in the study, it was determined that the point of view of the staff member to economic factors which are one of the factors affecting motivation of the staff members working in both manufacturing and service organization is different. Furthermore, it was observed that there is not any difference at point of view of the staff members to socio-psychological and organizational factors.
