Abstract (EN)

The importance of wireless sensor networks (WSNs) for numerous applications has been considered one of the fundamental and hot topics of research in recent years. Due to the small size and cheap manufacturing cost of sensor nodes, power, bandwidth, memory, and other limited resources, WSNs motivated research activities and industrial investments in this field in the last decade. WSNs have successfully been used in a variety of application fields, demonstrating their potential to significantly alter our way of life. Correctly locating the sensor nodes is a significant difficulty for designers of wireless sensor networks. As one of the major challenges in WSNs, effectively deploying many nodes is essential to processing and transmitting the extracted data to different locations. Thus the coverage area of sensor nodes must be maximized for wireless sensor networks to perform optimally in various areas of applications. Using efficient node deployment algorithms can improve the coverage of sensor nodes in monitoring regions, allows the network to consume less energy, maximize the life of the network, as well as effectively and efficiently operate the sensors. This study addresses the coverage area problem by using two versions of the immune plasma algorithm (IP), A meta-heuristic algorithm based on the transfer of plasma or antibodies from one patient to another. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm solves the WSN deployment problem well.
