Abstract (EN)

ABSTRACTIn today's economy, information is one of the most important assets of anorganization, probably second only to human resources. Information has become importantboth as input and output. Hence information security is of great concern to companies thatwant to implement e-business. The Internet, which is the primary medium for conductinge-business is by design an open non-secure medium. Since the original purpose of theInternet was not for commercial purposes, it is not designed to handle secure transactions.Surveys show that lack of transaction security is one of the key reasons why consumersare hesitant about shopping online. This thesis first presents current tools and practices forensuring e-business security. A framework for e-business information security is presentedby giving procedures, standards and their comparison on speed. The aim of this thesis is toidentify e-business security management issues that will render policies more effective.Key words: E-Business security, Encryption Models, Encryption SpeedIX
