Social media has been the focus of research to leverage and adjust it to the good of academic life; on the other hand, managers and decision-makers in educational institutions have been busy adapting social media platforms and using them to increase the number of students enrolled through digital marketing. This paper aimed to study the types of social media that are highly accepted, and at the same time how the students use it. It also aimed to study the role of these means in the decision-making process of students during the university enrollment process. The researcher took into account the methodological scientific theory in the research and chooses a randomly selected sample of students in three universities from two different countries, where all quantitative and qualitative methods were applied; semi-organized questionnaire were used to obtain data from random samples.
