Abstract (EN)

One of the biggest problems in manufacturing engineering is how to combine sheet metal, pipe or thin-walled profiles in a simple, efficient and cost-effective way. There are many different solutions available, such as welded nuts and threaded inserts used to increase the number of teeth. These solutions are insufficient for square profile pipes. Since the nut can not be welded to the inner parts of the profiles, it is welded to the outer surface. For this reason, a protruding surface is obtained. In some processes this surface may need to be used. It is possible to drill a flowdrill without the necessity of additional material from the outside. In this study, square profile pipes with thin wall thickness will be flowdrill and flowtap. Experiments will be carried out by changing the number of revolutions according to hole diameters.
