Father fi̇gure i̇n the novels of i̇nci̇ aral and Eli̇f Şafak

Novels reflect life and human. Each novel is again comment of life, which is seen in different eyes. Since the subject matter is human, one will find a lot of elements about human in these literary works. In this study accordingly, novels by two woman writers' ( İnci Aral, Elif Şafak) representing different the figure of father and having sensitivity to woman have been analysed in terms of how they approach the figure of father. In order for the subject to be understood more clearly in introduction chapter aimed to give of women writers' status, literary works, tastes and discomfort in the context of Turkish literature. In the first chapter, we have given biographys of İnci Aral and Elif Şafak's. Thus have been searched the relationship between the woman writers' and heros. Their are leading woman writers of the last term of Turkish literature. At their novels are interesting that she generally chooses women heroines. Furthermore by the help of these heroines, their puts emphasis on the a lot of problems. In the second chapter, the abstracts of the novels which are examined in this study are given. In the third chapter, " the figure of father" with the aspect which are reflected to the novels are described with subheadings. In the conclusion chapter, we defined at İnci Aral and Elif Şafak's perspectives to "the figure of father" are described which the main similarities and differences. In this study İnci Aral's novels Ölü Erkek Kuşlar, Yeni Yalan Zamanlar-Yeşil, Hiçbir Aşk Hiçbir Ölüm, İçimden Kuşlar Göçüyor, Mor, Taş ve Ten, Safran Sarı, Sadakat, Şarkını Söylediğin Zaman and Elif Şafak's novels Pinhan, Şehrin Aynaları, Mahrem, Bit Palas, Araf, Beşpeşe, Baba ve Piç, Siyah Süt, Aşk, İskender, Ustam ve Ben constitute the sources for our study.
