Abstract (EN)

Inconel-718 material is often preferred in aerospace and critical parts manufacturing due to its excellent mechanical properties. This study investigates the repair filling of Inconel-718 material under electron beam welding with the assistance of an additional wire feeding unit. The experimental process began with the preparation of nine samples of the same dimensions. A parameter set was created using the Taguchi method for voltage, current, welding speed, and wire feed rate. Experiments were conducted under vacuum conditions in an electron beam welding machine. Following the experiments, the samples underwent hardness testing. The grain structure, the general condition of the weld and the heat affected zone were then examined under an optical microscope. The effects of the parameters on the material hardness and the width of the heat affected zone (ITAB) during the filling process with electron beam welding were investigated. The wire feed rate parameter was found to be the most influential for HAZ hardness, while voltage and current had minimal effects. Voltage was the most influential parameter on HAZ width, while wire feed rate had the least effect.
