Abstract (EN)
The importance of company valuation is increasing day by day due to the increase in investors, mergers or acquisitions, stock transactions, and determination of company performance. Various methods are used in valuing companies or an asset. Discounted Cash Flow (DNA) method is one of the most widely used methods. The aim of this study is to show company valuation methods and to show the application of valuation of a tourism company in Turkey with the DCF method, which is one of these valuation methods. For this purpose, after the company and valuation concepts are explained, the company valuation methods are explained in detail and the application in which a tourism company in Turkey is evaluated with the DCF method is included. The company valued in the study is a tourism company registered in Borsa Istanbul, operating in Fethiye district, and XYZ Turizm Yatırımları A.Ş. has been named. Company valuation was made by using the financial statement data of XYZ Tourism Investments company for the years 2018-2022. The results of the company valuation obtained by the discounted cash flow method were compared with the price of the sample company in Borsa Istanbul.
