Abstract (EN)
Today, the world is rapidly secularizing due to modernization. People are less likely to let God play the leading role in the stories they tell to understand the world. As with institutional religions, people's faith in God dwindled or disappeared. In such a world, the famous Swedish director Ingmar Bergman tried to offer a solution to the problem of meaning that emerged with the art of cinema. Bergman, especially in his early films, answers this problem, that is, why we should continue to live in a world where there is no God but death, in order to love or to improve our ability to love. According to Bergman, in a place where there is no God's love and protection, people must understand that they are alone in the universe and that no one but each other can help them. Love is the most important antidote to destructive impulses in man. It is the only possibility in life that prevents suffocation from loneliness. Therefore, Bergman especially presented this theme as a solution to the secular people of the modern world.
