Abstract (EN)

Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology has become widespread in the construction sector despite its short history thanks to its system and development level. It is observed that today's buildings are much more technologically and complex than the old buildings and there are losses in the two basic elements such as time and money where the probability of making mistakes increases and returns and unpredictable expenditures occur. BIM technology can provide the necessary support to construction firms in money and time management by preventing possible errors and problems. It is possible to create a common language for all the participants and disciplines in the project by modelling the project with every detail digitally before it is built in real life with the technology of BIM technology. This can increase the efficiency and success of the project by increasing the harmony and motivation between the stakeholders and the project partners. With the rich visualization content of the BIM, such as overlap analysis, time and cost can be saved. Project managers can receive rapid support from the BIM technology at the decision-making point. By providing interdisciplinary data transfer and integration, it provides important contributions to the companies at basic points such as coordination, planning and cost management of the project. This study focuses on managing the project in terms of time and cost by using BIM technology. In this study, the applications of Primavera, Revit and Navisworks programs selected from a large number of software that can be used in the BIM are explained through a sample project. Using the Primavera, Revit and Navisworks programs, how to create the 5D (5-dimensional) model was discussed in an 5-storey building project example. Additionally, the advantages and potential problems of the BIM technology were examined.
