Investigation of the applications in Afyonkarahi̇sar province and the bui̇ldi̇ng inspecti̇on in construction sector

The researches, which have been done after the earthquake disasters in August 17,1999 Marmara and November 12 Düzce, show that people died because of uncontrolled buildings not due to those earthquakes. As many people had died and got wounded , also many buildings were damaged after those earthquakes, the authorities need to take concrete steps about building inspection. Thereupon, the authorities underwent a radical change about building inspection and the law no, "4708 numbered Law About Structure Control" and "Regulation on Procedures and Principles of Building Inspection Applications" were enacted. In this study, firstly literature research about building inspection and it's aim were emphasised, historical development of building inspection system was researched, the information about the building inspection systems carried out in Türkiye and another countries was given. With the information obtained, various survey question has ben prepared in order to specify the problems with the standing law no "4708 numbered Law About Structure Control". For a model implementation, perspectives of the building inspection institutions in Afyonkarahisar for those problems have been investigated and some solutions have been offered. The result obtained in this research, shows that there are stil some problems and faulties in the building inspection system based on the law no "4708 numbered Law About Structure Control", although it has been current for 13 years.
