Abstract (EN)

One of the most important factors in the structure of a company organization is the "humankind" in today's world. Therefore, structuring, starting as personnel management at first, has evolved into human resources management over time. Selecting the appropriate candidate for the right job falls into the span of authority of human resources management. In the employment procedure, candidates suitable to the company's strategical structure are preferred. Interviews conducted in the recruitment process need to efficiently assess candidates and their suitability for the position. It is also necessary for interviewers to be a good and active listener. Today,efficient listening is one of the subjects that requires the most attention. There are many elements and styles that constitute active listening. The aim of this study is to investigate the listening styles of human resources managers of the firms located in Adana Hacı Sabancı Organized Industrial Zone (AOSB) in terms of demographic variables. Data was collected from 303 human resources managers in AOSB through a questionnaire and analysed analyzed with a statistical program. The analysis revealed that demographic characteristics have impact on the aspects of the listening styles. Among the types of listening collected in four dimensions, only relational and transactional listening dimensions differed among others.
