Abstract (EN)

Small/portable unmanned aerial vehicles which supply their energy from electric batteries have been successfully used in applications of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance-based missions in recent years. Despite their increasing usage, studies which focus on limited battery capacities of S-UAVs has not been completely dealt in the literature. This obstructs the usage of small unmanned air vehicles in long range and unremitting mission scenarios. In this study, a surveillance system that is based on collaboration of two small unmanned air vehicles and a transporter unmanned ground vehicle was proposed. In order to provide the continuity of surveillance mission, an assigning and directing algorithm that considers battery charge level of the small unmanned air vehicles were developed within the proposed system. The developed algorithm assigns tasks to unmanned air vehiclesand changes their role in surveillance mission by checking their battery levels.
