The globalization process has affected many organizations as well as trade unions in various aspects. On the one hand, there were issues caused by neoliberal policies (privatization, localization, liberalization, etc.), on the other hand technological developments caused significant loss of power (decline in the number of members, loss of social and political power, etc.) in trade unions in this process. In order to cope with these problems, trade unions have developed some strategies within the revival policies. One of the most important of them is international solidarity. Due to the free flow of capital on a global scale, international solidarity has become a requirement rather than the preference of trade unions. This thesis aims to examine the effects of globalization on trade unions through a case study. For this purpose, the Confederation of Progressive Trade Unions of Turkey (DİSK) was chosen as a case study, and the field of international relations, assumed to have the most intense transformation in the globalization process, was chosen as a sample of the research. The thesis study examines the impact of the globalization process on the international relations of the DİSK. In this context, the DİSK's international relations, especially after 1980, were examined on three main parameters: 1) The attitude of DİSK towards international conflicts, 2) The relations with international trade unions, 3) the DİSK's attitude in the process of Turkey's European Union (EU) membership. In the research, content analysis was carried out by using the document review method as a qualitative research method. As a result, these are the findings of the thesis. The DİSK is neither an anti-globalizer who underestimates globalization nor a pro-globalizer which glorifies of globalization. The DİSK has not rejected the globalization process and has not modified its founding philosophy during the globalization period but has developed its international relations due to the necessities of globalization. Lastly, the Turkey's EU membership process has enhanced DİSK's international relations.
