Despite the fact that females attempt suicide more than males, it is clearly understood from the acquired data that males complete the suicide four times more than females. The data related to Antalya shows similarities to Turkey and other societies which proves thesis "males suicide, females attempt suicide". In this study it is found out that deaths resulting from usage of guns, which is accepted masculine behavioural pattern, occurs more in males and suicide by taking overdose medicine that is a passive method is more common among the females. Also it is observed that reasons of suicide and suicide attempts are changed according to the gender, as majority of suicide and suicide attempts are females because of domestic violence and males in all suicide or suicide attempt due to the financial difficulties or economic failures. Consequently this research which study relationship between suicide and gender has shown that although it is seemed as a personal construction both female and male choose to claim his/her life even decide how to put an end to his/her life by inspired of ritualised references and public gained acceptance. In fact from the research data it is clearly understood how all this process was affected by the patriarchal system and gender regime.
